DESCRIPTION

The CD-8AS / CD-16AS consoles use the same architecture as the PPM paging console, with a junction box built into the enclosure for daisy-chaining multiple units (note that only the first console is monitored). The maximum recommended distance between units is 100 m. 

As with the PPM paging console, the CD-8AS / CD-16AS zone buttons can represent a single zone or group of zones and are easily programmed through the system GUI using "drag and drop" functionality. The Push-To-Talk button can be programmed for PTT or latching operation. System status indicators show the status of all zones and indicators are also provided for Power, Evac and Fault.

The CD-8AS / CD-16AS are powered over RS485 via CAT5 (FTP/STP), however if power is not available over RS485 it can be locally powered using a 24 VDC supply.
